English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) plays a vital role in supporting our English Learners and their families. This committee provides a collaborative space where parents, school staff, and community members come together to discuss and address the unique needs of our English Learners. This is an opportunity for families to learn about the program’s legal requirements, review overall English Learner progress, and discuss interventions and supports needed for student success and achievement.
Join ELAC to engage in meaningful conversations, share insights, and contribute to the success of our English Learners as we foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment and enrichment opportunities such as Baile Folklorico. Other enrichment opportunities can be found on the After School Opportunities tab under “For Students”.
ELAC meets once a month in the Proctor Terrace ES Library. Meetings have Spanish translation through our Family Engagement Facilitator (FEF). Please contact our FEF for more information.
